Instagram Power Book Giveaway

by Katie on November 21, 2013

I’d love to say that I’m a social media buff and that I know the ins and outs of every facet of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.  However, I like to keep things real on this blog, and the fact is, my older kids could probably run circles around me on some of the social media outlets.

That being said, there’s no denying that social media is a powerful marketing tool in today’s world.  In Jason Miles’ new book, Instagram Power, Miles walks even an Instagram beginner through the basic steps of how to use Instagram.  Miles begins by explaining how to set up an account and goes on to show readers how to implement monetization strategies and ways to integrate Instagram into your overall marketing strategy.

Liberty Jane Clothing would like to give one of my readers a free copy of the Instagram Power Book.  Want to win?  You have five ways to enter this giveaway:

  1. Leave a comment on this post – which social media outlet is a stumbling block for you? Or totally impress me if you’re an expert on all of them!
  2. Like Liberty Jane Clothing on Facebook – let them know that Cincinnati Cents sent you.  Leave a separate comment letting me know that you’ve done this.
  3. Subscribe to Cincinnati Cents’ feed via RSS or e-mail and then leave a comment letting me know that you’ve subscribed. If you already subscribe, leave a comment letting me know that as well.
  4. Follow Cincinnati Cents on Pinterest.  Leave a separate comment letting me know that you’ve done this.
  5. Like Cincinnati Cents on Facebook.  Leave a separate comment letting me know that you’ve done so.

Please make sure you leave a separate comment for each method of entry on this post.

This giveaway ends at 8:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, November 28th, and is open to all U.S. residents, ages 18 years or older.  The winner will be selected randomly, and will be notified by e-mail.  The winner will have 48 hours to respond.  If no response is received by that time, a new winner will be chosen.

Whether it’s one ply or two, extra soft or basic, toilet paper is something that people use on a daily basis.  Quilted Northern recently introduced their brand new Ultra Soft & Strong Bathroom Tissue.  This new bathroom tissue with Cleanstretch technology is extra strong and flexible enough to provide for your daily bathroom needs.

It comes as no surprise that families across the nation are struggling this holiday season.  Between juggling the costs of housing and utilities as well as groceries and child care needs, many families are just barely getting by each month.

Throughout the country, one in three moms struggles with the ability to afford diapers for her child.  In fact, a recent study in the journal Pediatrics showed that having a significant diaper need is even more distressing to moms than not having enough food for their families.

Huggies Every Little Bottom and Meijer are working diligently to help end the problem of diaper need.  Throughout November and December, for every Huggies diaper purchased at Meijer, Huggies will diaper a baby in need for a day, up to a total of 150,000 diapers.  Plus, for each Huggies diaper purchase, Meijer will donate $1.00 to the National Diaper Bank Network up to a total of $10,000.

If you have a little one in diapers, you have an easy opportunity to help pay it forward this holiday season.  Simply purchase Huggies Snug & Dry, Little Movers, or OverNites Diapers at Meijer to make a difference for families in need across the country.

If you’re no longer in the diaper purchasing season of your life, you can help out by visiting the Huggies Tester site.  When you complete challenges, Huggies will donate a diaper to a baby in need.  Or, you can donate your Huggies Rewards to help a family in need.   You can also spread the word about this promotion by sharing this post on Facebook or Twitter #diaperneed.

Huggies Every Little Bottom and Meijer would like to offer one of my readers a 2 month supply of Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers.  Want to win?  You have six ways to enter this giveaway:

$50 Erin Condren Giveaway

by Katie on November 18, 2013

Growing up, I often heard the age-old saying that time is money.  I didn’t fully realize how true this statement was until I was a busy mom with four kids running around (it’s amazing how crazy life gets when you’re outnumbered four to one!).  Between homeschooling 3 of our kids, taking our oldest to high school, working part-time, blogging full-time, and shuttling our kids to a variety of activities (youth club, baseball, bowling, theater, dance….), I need a system to keep everything in place.

By being aware of when things are due back or when a registration needs to be submitted, I am able to forgo late fees and unnecessary charges.  Plus, if I know what our family’s plan is at the beginning of the week, I can plan out meals accordingly, avoiding the need to hit the fast food lane or make an extra trip to the grocery store.

I like having a planner that does it all – a way to keep track of appointments and schedules, a place to take notes and jot down “to do” lists, as well as a place to store papers and notes.  I have found that in order to keep track of everything going on in our family, I need a planner that not only shows each month at a glance, but has space in a weekly plan as well so I can make sure that all of our activities and obligations are accounted for.

The Erin Condren Life Planner is an ideal planning system that enables me to keep track of our family’s activities and daily routines.  This planner is packed full of features that helps keep our life organized:

  • the option of a 12-month planner or a full 18-month planner
  • a laminated, heavy duty cover for protection from daily wear and tear
  • inspirational quotes throughout the planner
  • laminated tabs for extra durability
  • perpetual calendar for birthdays and anniversaries
  • two-page monthly spreads
  • goals and to-do lists for every week and month
  • weekly spreads divided into morning, day & night
  • meal/exercise/lists/etc. section for highlighted daily notes & activities
  • snap-in page holder that doubles as a ruler
  • 20 pages of lined and designer blank pages for notes and sketches
  • 2 pages to keep important numbers, contacts & addresses handy
  • double-sided “keep it together” folder to wrangle receipts, stamps, and other papers
  • 240 colorful stickers to highlight birthdays, special events and reminders
  • bound-in zip lock pocket with 12 gift labels and “let’s get together” cards
  • sturdy aluminum coil that will not bend & allows your planner to lay flat

You also have the option of customizing your planner with photos on the front and back cover.  Plus, if you want to add on other fun accessories, there are a number to choose from, including photo stickers, colorful ballpoint pens, and matching note pads.  In addition to their Life Planners, Erin Condren offers a variety of personalized items such as stationery, stickers, notepads, invitations, announcements, recipe boxes, and more.

Erin Condren would like to offer one of my readers a $50 credit to for the product(s) of their choice on the Erin Condren site.  Want to win?  You have six ways to enter this giveaway:

  1. Leave a comment on this post – what is your favorite product on the Erin Condren site?  This is a required entry!

As we enter the busyness of the Christmas season, it’s easy to lose ourselves in an overabundance of to-do lists.  Although I love giving to others especially at this time of year, I can quickly lose focus on what the true meaning of the season is about in lieu of the latest sale or deal.  I enjoy finding gifts that are truly meaningful to the recipient.

For this very reason, I love the gifts that are available from the World Vision Gift Catalog.  World Vision is a Christian relief, development, and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice.  It is their mission to work with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice, and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God.

Their Gift Catalog offers more than 250 items that help fight poverty and save lives both in the United States and around the world.  The gifts they offer are not only beautiful in a material sense, but a blessing to both the recipient and the people helped by the organization.  There are a wide variety of items available from World Vision:

Colors of Africa Bracelet & Earring Set - This gorgeous Zakale jewelry set is handmade from recycled materials by Kenyan artisans reclaiming their own lives from poverty.

Cinnamon Box – Created from the dried inner bark of Cassia (Cinnamon) trees by skilled artisans in Vietnam, these boxes help families receive social and health insurance as well as the opportunity to apply for scholarship funds.

Hand-woven Headband - This beautiful, 100% cotton headband woven by skilled workers in Lake Atitlan in Guatemala helps address urgent needs of children, families or communities that might otherwise go unmet.

Ornament Set - This set includes three handmade Zakale wire and bead animal trio ornaments from Nairobi.

Gertie the Plush Goat - Gertie is available exclusively through World Vision and represents farm animals that are donated to children and families around the world and provide a steady supply of nutritious food and the surplus can be sold for extra income.

To help raise awareness of the World Vision Gift Catalog, World Vision would like to offer one of my readers a Colors of Africa Bracelet & Earrings Set.  You have six ways to enter this giveaway:

  1. Leave a comment on this post – what will your family be doing this Christmas season to help out those in need?  This is a required entry!
